82nd Annual Members’ Fine Art Exhibition Member Artists July 17, 2020 - August 23, 2020 Corkran and Tubbs Galleries Opening Reception: Friday, July 17, 5-7pm Announcement of Awards: Friday, July 17, 6pm Judge: Kristin Pleasanton Gallery Talk, From the Judge with Kristin Pleasanton: Saturday, July 18, 10am About the Exhibition All RAL member fine art artists are invited to participate in this annual exhibition, which showcases artworks in a variety of 2-D and 3-D media by over 125 of the Rehoboth Art League member artists. Following a long-standing RAL tradition, awards of excellence are announced at the opening reception. Awards The Sarah Ethel Tunnel Award: Best in Show, $500 and a 2021 Solo Exhibition. The Mary Hall Leach Award: Outstanding Work, $250. The Thomas McFarland Skelly Award: Painting of Exceptional Merit, any medium, $200. The Faucett Okie Award: Emerging Delaware Artist working in oil or pastel, traditional style, $300. The Louise Chambers Corkran Award: Best Sculpture, $50. The William Horn Award: Best Photograph, $50. The Col. W.S. Corkran Award: Painting representative of the Eastern Shore, Sussex County, East of 113, $50. The Howard Schroeder Award: Sponsored by the Howard Schroeder Sketch Group: Best portrait or figurative work, $100. The Delaware Watercolor Society Award of Excellence: Best Watercolor, $300. The Mary Derrickson McCurdy Memorial Award: Honorable Mention, $100. Adelia E. Chiswell Award: Outstanding Watercolor, $50. Awards Judge: Kristin Pleasanton Kristin Pleasanton has worked with the Delaware Division of the Arts (DDOA) for 20 years and now serves as Deputy Director, where she administers the statewide grant review process, manages agency special events and visual arts programs, cultivates agency partnerships, and develops new initiatives to support federal and state priorities. Ms. Pleasanton will discuss the scope of work in the Rehoboth Art League’s 82nd Annual Members’ Fine Art Exhibition, as well as her award decisions as judge for the show. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Virginia and a MA in Arts, Art History and Museum Studies from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
