SUMMARY:5th Annual Sling N' Squash Competition
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Big Chill Surf Cantina will host their 5th Annual Sling N’
  Squash\nCompetition on Saturday\, November 12 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m
 . The\npopular gourd-throwing event — formerly known as Big Chill’s\n
Pumpkin Chuckin’ — requires incredible feats of strength as\ncompetit
ors are judged by how far they can toss a pumpkin using\nnothing but pure
strength and technique. There are no cannons or\ncatapults allowed\, only
body parts.\n\n \n\nStarted in 2017 as a tribute to the Pumpkin Chunkin
festival made\nfamous by the Discovery Channel\, the event is free to att
end (21+\nonly) and benefits the Rehoboth Community Resource Center. T
here is\na $30 registration fee for competitors (click here\n[https://big

” says Matt\nGarbutt\, Marketing Director of Big Chill Surf Cantina.
“We can’t\nwait to see old and new faces competing and spectating aga
in this\nyear. Smashing pumpkins never goes out of style\, especially when
 \nit’s for a good cause.” \n\n \n\nThe Sling N’ Squash has a few m
inor rules: pumpkins must weigh\nbetween 15 and 18 pounds\, with contestan
ts throwing them from a\n6x6-inch approved throwing area. (All pumpkins w
ere donated by Fifer\nOrchards). Distances will be measured from where th
ey first hit the\nground. No exceptions. Last year’s top throw traveled
32 feet from\nthe female division (Tiara Duffy) and 52 feet from the men
’s\ndivision (Austin Smith). \n\n \n\nAgain\, the event is free to any
one looking to watch the pumpkins fly.\nSpectators can enjoy a wide variet
