Americana!

Step into a world where the heart of the American spirit beats through every note with Rehoboth Concert Band’s annual spring concert to benefit the Cape Henlopen Senior Center. Americana! is an immersive musical experience that celebrates the diverse sounds and deep-rooted traditions of American music, from colonial music and the early folk ballads of the Appalachian mountains to the vibrant rhythms of jazz, the African American Spiritual, American Musical Theater and more. With music honoring America's musical heritage by some of our nation's most well-loved composers such as Gershwin, Copland and Meredith Willson, as well as the world premiere performance of "Coastal Fanfare," written for RCB by composer Schuyler Kieley, this promises to be an afternoon well spent. Joining RCB will be guest vocalist Ric Fernandez, and popular local artists, The Jazzmen! Tickets are $20/adult; 18 & under free, and may be purchased in advance at the Cape Henlopen Senior Center (11 Christian St, Rehoboth Beach), online at http://www.rehobothconcertband.org, and at the door, as available.
