The artworks range in\n size from 20×15 inches to 60×40 inches. In continuing its mission to\nte ach\, inspire\, and preserve\, the artist wishes to give 100% of all\nproc eeds to the Rehoboth Art League.  About his art\, Krausz says:\n“I’m interested in showing the limits of language in relation to\nthe unsayable —that is\, the space between lines\, beyond words. To\nthat end my works often display a kind of automatic writing\, using\ninvented ciphers of no literal significance. They display various\nspatial planes at once. They display the emergence and dissolution of\nciphers in infinite spaces. Havi ng visited India on numerous occasions\nI have been influenced by South-As ian iconography and philosophy.”\nKrausz has been featured in 36 solo an d duo exhibitions in galleries\nand museums in the United States\, the Uni ted Kingdom\, and India. As\nwell\, he has participated in many group exhi bitions. While\nself-taught\, in the 1970’s he studied art at the Haysta ck School of\nCrafts and the Philadelphia College of Art. Krausz was Resid ent Fellow\nat the Ossabaw Foundation in 1978 and 1980. His artworks have been\nreproduced in numerous publications including the British arts\njour nal\, Leonardo. Twice–in 2009 and 2015–Delaware by Hand\nawarded Kra usz the distinction of “Master.” Krausz adds\, “My art\nintegrates m y philosophical and musical concerns as well.”  Krausz\nis Emeritus and Research Professor of Philosophy at Bryn Mawr College\,\nwhere he taught for 45 years. He has also taught courses in Aesthetics\nand Interpretation at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.\nKrausz is currently an Adjunct Fellow at Linacre College\, Oxford\nUniversity. As regards his mu sical activities\, for nine years (2006 to\n2015) Krausz served as music d irector and conductor of the Great Hall\nChamber Orchestra at Bryn Mawr\, comprised of 42 conservatory and young\nprofessional players. About Krausz ’s art\, Edward Sozanski of The\nPhiladelphia Inquirer says\, “Micha el Krausz converts imaginative\nimpulse expressed through magnificent tech nique into syncretic art of\nmysterious presence.
