   95% of Delaware's land area lies within the\nAtlantic Coastal Plain\, 
 which includes the Delaware Botanical Gardens.\nThe habitats and plant com
 munities of Delaware's Coastal Plain are\ndiverse and support a flora rich
  in species that includes many that\nare state and globally rare. This pre
 sentation describes many of these\nhabitats and plant communities and high
 lights some of the common and\nrare plants that are associated with them.\
 n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER:  Delaware native\, Bill is recently retired after\
 n35 years\, where he served as the botanist for the Delaware Dept. of\nNat
 ural Resources. Bill was responsible for documenting the flora of\nDelawar
 e\, with an emphasis on rare species. Bill has published many\npapers on t
 he habitats and rare plants of Delaware\, as well as\npublishing his flori
 stic studies of the Delmarva Peninsula. Bill is\nalso the primary author o
 f the online flora of Delaware.\n\nDoors open at 5 PM\, and the lecture st
