 \n17\, 5 to 7 p.m. Taylor's work reflects her social\, political\, and\ncu
 ltural perspectives\, infused with Afrocentric vibrancy that bursts\nwith 
 color\, rhythm\, and movement. Raised in Harlem and educated at The\nArt I
 nstitute in Arlington\, Virginia\, Taylor has been an art educator\nfor ov
 er a decade\, including work with the City Art Mural program for\nchildren
  in New York City. She is a proud member of both the\nMispillion Art Leagu
 e and the Harlem Arts Alliance. Plan to attend the\nOctober 17\, reception
  when attendee will enjoy Taylor’s art and as a\nspecial added treat a s
 et by the award winning Jazz performer Maya\nBelardo\, who has played doze
 ns of gigs and has sold out her\nperformances at major venues like The Que

  legacy of Harlem and\nthe fabled Harlem Renaissance. Her grandfather was 
 a jazz singer with\nCab Calloway\, and her father was a painter—an artis
