Dr. Joanne K. Guilfoil: Inaugural Book Launch

The evening will prove to be a lively and animated discussion, with readings on the best stories from decades of chickens on Delmarva, including: 

• A mysterious liquor stash in a Bethany chicken coop 
• Sex-reversal in chickens 
• Perdue chicken in Baghdad and Mitzi Perdue‘s visit to the White House with Frank 
• Cecile Steele and the broiler industry 
• Fanciers, Delaware Blue Hens and local 4-Hers 

Photos of ​Joanne’s own registered flock will be displayed and will shed some light on the part that Selbyville, Delaware played in the colorful story of chickens on Delmarva. 

Prior to the 7:00 PM book launch, Joanne will be signing books starting at 6:30 PM. Purchase price of the signed book is $45 ($10 of which Joanne is donating to the Historic Village – thanks, Joanne!). 

Wine and snacks will be available and one lucky guest will actually win a door prize….a book!
