CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Join the Rehoboth Art League for a conversation with juror and
judge\nof the 10th Regional Juried Photography Exhibition\, Kathryn Harris
\,\nwho will discuss her jurying process and award decisions\, and speak t
o\nher experience as an artist.\n\n\"Photography has been a passion since
childhood when at 12\, I won an\nhonorable mention in a national children
’s magazine.\n\nI decided to study judging as a means of improving my ab
ility to\n‘see’ more clearly to improve my photographic skills. I bega
n the\nJudging Apprentice program with the Coastal Camera Club about ten\n
years ago both to share this learning with fellow members and to\nimprove
the Club’s supply of member judges. Since then\, over thirty\nfolks have
been through this program and become active judges in the\nClub’s compe
tition process. This program is an ongoing learning\nsince we all share in
formally judging each month’s competition and\nmeet to both share our ob
servations and to learn from each other. This\nsharing has been a wonderfu
l learning process for myself and others.\n
