Garden of Lights
One in ten residents in the Cape Henlopen region have visited Mill Pond Garden which has had two thousand nine hundred visitors in the past three years. Visitors’ favorite garden event is the “Garden of Lights” show, about to open for three shows only.
The ”Garden of Lights” show was attended by hundreds of local residents last year. Visitors were enthusiastic for this half-hour walk through, thirty thousand light show that uses and promotes use of LED energy saving lights. Some called it “magical.” All feel it is fun to be out inside and surrounded by the lights. There is even a fire pit to warm by, and a wonderful view of lights along Red Mill Pond’s shores and docks.
The free “Garden of Lights” show will be open to the public from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, on Friday, November 30; Sunday, December 9, 2018; and Tuesday, January 1, 2019. The show is open rain or shine, but not for snow or ice, for safety reasons. There are a limited number of invitation-tickets per show due to limited parking; first come first served.
Visits are by invitation only to email subscribers to Mill Pond Garden. Anyone may request to be on the subscription email notification and invitation list by sending an email request to millpondgarden@gmail.com at least a week in advance of any one of the scheduled shows
