Native American Day Celebration

Celebrating this year’s theme, “Rooted in Tradition. Growing Our Future,” the event will honor Native American heritage, celebrate Native farmers and highlight the establishment of Delaware’s HB365 Indigenous Affairs Commission. The celebration offers an opportunity for community members to learn more about Nanticoke history and culture, while recognizing the traditions and contributions that continue to shape future generations.

The event will feature a variety of cultural activities and family-friendly experiences, including social drumming by the Tidewater Agency, storytelling by Ragghi Rain, free museum tours, Native vendors, oyster fritters and hotdogs, and a tractor showcase. Guests will also have the opportunity to hear from special guest speaker Lt. Gov. Kyle Evans Gay. Admission to the event is free, and the public is being encouraged to attend and take part in this special celebration.
