Rehoboth Beach Museum: Room for More Part 2
Join the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society's on-line series, "Conversations on History" as we continue with Paula Roberts discussing the religious time line of Rehoboth Beach. The area now known as Rehoboth Beach began as a Methodist Camp Meeting Association, developed by a group of ministers led by the Rev. R.W. Todd. Since that time many other denominations have created their own houses of worship in Rehoboth.
Part One of the series followed the changing face of faith traditions in Rehoboth up to 1937. Part Two continues the conversation from 1937 to the present. Ms. Roberts will discuss Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, Metropolitan Community Church, the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, First Church of Christ, Scientist and Seaside Jewish Community. All of the congregations in Part 1 and 2 were chosen because they have a building with a Rehoboth address and postal code, were established first here in town, and still exist.
September 17th at 2:30pm: Part Two "Room for More" continues the conversation from 1937 to the present.
