DESCRIPTION:Join us this August for CAMP Rehoboth’s upcoming exhibition\,
Rising\nTides: An Exhibition by Dianna Poindexter. The exhibit will featu
re a\nvariety of Poindexter’s expressive and impactful works.  Dianna\n
Poindexter is a contemporary expressionist painter whose work is\ninspired
by the beauty\, power\, and constant change found both in\nnature and in
the human experience. Through expressive brushwork\, rich\ncolor\, and a s
trong sense of movement\, she creates paintings that\ninvite viewers to pa
use\, reflect\, and discover their own connection to\nthe stories within t
hem.  Working primarily in environmentally\nfriendly water-soluble oils a
nd acrylics\, Poindexter draws inspiration\nfrom the Atlantic coastline\,
tidal marshes\, rolling waves\, weathered\nboats\, and moments that have s
haped our collective history. Her work\nexplores themes of transformation\
, resilience\, the ever-changing\nbeauty of the coast\, and social justice
.  Throughout her work\, the\nidea of “rising tides” emerges as both
a natural and human\nmetaphor. Just as the tides continually reshape the s
horeline\, the\nforces of change shape our lives\, challenging us\, bringi
ng us\ntogether\, and moving us forward. Whether reflected in nature or th
e\nhuman spirit\, her paintings celebrate the beauty\, strength\, and shar
ed\nexperiences that connect us all.  Originally from Scottsdale\,\nArizo
na\, Poindexter earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Moore\nCollege of Ar
t & Design in Philadelphia before making the East Coast\nher home more tha
n 30 years ago. She now lives and works in Rehoboth\nBeach\, Delaware\, wi
th her wife\, Margo\, where the rhythms of the coast\ncontinue to inspire
her creative practice.  Poindexter’s paintings\nhave been exhibited in
galleries throughout Pennsylvania\, Maryland\,\nand Delaware and are held
in private collections across the United\nStates.  Venue: CAMP Rehoboth.\
