\nAn Exhibition by Dianna Poindexter. The exhibit will feature a variety\n
of Poindexter’s expressive and impactful works.  Dianna Poindexter\nis
a contemporary expressionist painter whose work is inspired by the\nbeauty
\, power\, and constant change found both in nature and in the\nhuman expe
rience. Through expressive brushwork\, rich color\, and a\nstrong sense of
movement\, she creates paintings that invite viewers to\npause\, reflect\
, and discover their own connection to the stories\nwithin them.  Working
primarily in environmentally friendly\nwater-soluble oils and acrylics\,
Poindexter draws inspiration from the\nAtlantic coastline\, tidal marshes\
, rolling waves\, weathered boats\, and\nmoments that have shaped our coll
ective history. Her work explores\nthemes of transformation\, resilience\,
the ever-changing beauty of the\ncoast\, and social justice.  Throughout
her work\, the idea of\n“rising tides” emerges as both a natural and
human metaphor. Just\nas the tides continually reshape the shoreline\, the
forces of change\nshape our lives\, challenging us\, bringing us together
\, and moving us\nforward. Whether reflected in nature or the human spirit
 \, her\npaintings celebrate the beauty\, strength\, and shared experiences
that\nconnect us all.  Originally from Scottsdale\, Arizona\, Poindexter
\nearned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Moore College of Art & Design in\n
Philadelphia before making the East Coast her home more than 30 years\nago
. She now lives and works in Rehoboth Beach\, Delaware\, with her\nwife\,
Margo\, where the rhythms of the coast continue to inspire her\ncreative p
ractice.  Poindexter’s paintings have been exhibited in\ngalleries thro
ughout Pennsylvania\, Maryland\, and Delaware and are held\nin private col
lections across the United States.  The opening\nreception for Rising Tid
es will be hosted on Friday\, August 7\, from\n5:00-7:00 p.m. We hope to s
ee you there!  Venue: CAMP Rehoboth.\n
