  Magazine It is a little-known fact that most Amish practice a\ntradition 
 similar to the Christian “Confirmation” and Jewish\n“Bar Mitzvah” 
 called “Rumspringa” (literal translation:\n“running around”) in wh
 ich Amish children at the age of 16 have an\nopportunity to live free of t
 he strict Amish code of conduct before\ndeciding if they want to come back
  and be baptized into the Amish\nchurch. Surprisingly\, virtually all of t
 he youths return. But\nsometimes they don’t. Four out of the original si
 x members of The\nAmish Outlaws were born and raised in Lancaster\, PA and
  had a strict\nAmish upbringing. No electricity from land lines\, no alcoh
 ol\, no\nmusical instruments\, but their spirits were too wild for the Ami
 sh\nlifestyle. Once they trampled in the Devil’s Playground\, there was\
 nno turning back. In the years since Rumspringa\, the members of the\nAmis
 h Outlaws have become very well acclimated to the pleasures and\nvices of 
 the modern world… music\, most of all. Thus\, with a bold\nlust for life
  and a fire for music and performance that can only come\nfrom 16 years of
