This theme is a perfect opportunity \nfor the Mispillion Art League (MAL) to partner with the City of\nMilford and reinvent what a community festival can be in a time where\nsocial dis tancing is important. Imagine building a cardboard house or\na robot with recycled materials! Or stroll along the Riverwalk\ncreating a photographic or sketch journal\; or coloring nature- themed\npages to delight all ages . There will be so many new creative\nactivities to enjoy. It will be a fa ntastic affair – fun for\neveryone! MAL will be at the Milford Farmers ’ Market on Sept. 19 and\n26 with information about Festival activities and classes\, along with\ncardboard to help us build a Cardboard City. On Oct. 3\, we will be\nhanding out our FREE Art Kit containing an Idea Bookl et in English and\nSpanish with over a dozen art projects for families and children\; the\nMispillion Riverwalk Self-Guided Nature Photo/Sketch Art Walk\, also\nbilingual\; and a few supplies to get you started creating ne w art from\nrecycled materials in the safety of your own home. The City of Milford\nwill also provide educational materials for children including a \ncoloring book\, crayons\, stickers\, and more\, all centered around\nred ucing\, reusing\, energy-saving\, recycling\, and respecting our\nenvironm ent. The Big Draw Art Kit and the City of Milford materials\nwill be packa ged in a reusable bag. Fascinating Delaware facts and fun\nfrom the DuPont Nature Center and DE Solid Waste Authority will be\navailable.
