The Jungle Book

Jun 11, 2026

The Jungle Book is based on Rudyard Kipling's fanciful stories of India. The kindly old wolf, Akela, and the steadfast bear, Baloo, rescue a baby who is lost in the jungle. They protect Mowgli, the "man cub", from the tiger, Shere Khan, and raise the boy, teaching him the laws of the jungle. Adding to the fun are Tabaqui the Hyena, Bandar the Monkey, Kaa the Snake and Bagheera the Panther. Through a series of adventures and misadventures, the animals learn that the boy is better off living among people. Two actors bring eight jungle characters to life in this fun-filled, forty-five minute show for all ages! Venue: Georgetown Public LIbrary. Presenter: Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre.
