 ’s paintings that capture the artist’s journeys along\nthe East Coast.
  Mr. Loper’s exhibiting artworks harness the subdued\nnature of large bo
 dies of water and their surrounding areas. Soft\nblues and quiet reds acco
 mpanied by strong angular shapes mirror the\nmeditative force near any sho
 re. He also draws our attention to the\nstark contrast of living further i
 nland. Paintings of bold outlines\,\ncomplex structures\, and even charact
 ers appear. It is a vivid reminder\nthat life is a journey of ebbs and flo
