Treasures of The Rehoboth Beach Museum: Images of the Past

On September 13, at 7pm, Mike Morgan will be at the Rehoboth Beach
Museum to help celebrate the opening of its new expanded facilities.  His program "Treasures of
the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society, Images of the Past"  will delve into the variety of
pictorial items the society has collected over the years.
One of the Rehoboth Beach Museum’s favorite lecturers, Mike’s love of history focuses on the
Delaware Coast, and he has done in depth research on Rehoboth Beach history. He said of the museum, “the Rehoboth Historical Society has a truly outstanding collection of pictorial material that covers the length and breadth of the history of the premiere resort on the Delaware Coast.”
When deciding on a topic for this year’s program Mike commented, “During the past several years, the Rehoboth Historical society has amassed an outstanding collection of photographs, newspapers, and other illustrative items that depict the history of Delaware's oldest seaside resort. Every time I research the archives of the Rehoboth Historical Society, I discover a new gem… “Treasures of the Rehoboth Historical Society: Images of the Past” will feature photos of trains, boardwalk, beach, and battering storms. Some of these images have been widely reproduced and others have been rarely seen before.”

Parking is available at the museum and the building is handicapped accessible.   Call to make Reservations (302)227-7310.
