DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun\, engaging\, and empowering artistic experien
 ce for\nadults 55+ who would like to investigate their creative potential\
 nwhile building a basic level of mastery using oil pastels. This\nartistic
  journey provides an approachable and challenging entry-level\nenvironment
  to gain a basic command of oil pastel painting. Over an\neight-week perio
 d (one hourly class a week) participants will be\nactively engaged in prod
 ucing their own final artwork under the\nguidance of local professional te
 aching artist\, John Donato. In\naddition\, participants will investigate 
 idea creation\, personal style\,\nand finishing techniques\, and have acce
 ss to ongoing social support\nfrom their teacher and peers. This program i
 s funded by the Delaware\nDivision of the Arts as a part of its’ Access 
 Creative Aging\nprogram\, a community-based arts education program designe
 d for adults\nages 55+. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on\nDel
 awareScene.com. Class size is limited to 12 people so registration\nis req
 uired. Participants are expected to attend all 8 sessions. All\nmaterials 
 will be provided. Venue: Lewes Public Library.
