DESCRIPTION:From July 19 to September 22\, the league will have two unique 
 curated\nshows on display to highlight pieces from RAL’s permanent fine 
 art\ncollection.  The Homestead will showcase “Women’s Work: Selected
 \nWorks from the Women Artists in RAL’s Fine Art Collection.” A\ncreat
 ive force\, female artists have played an important role in the\nenrichmen
 t of the arts. Although their contribution to the art world\nhad always ta
 ken a “back seat” to the contribution of their male\ncounterparts\, it
  wasn’t until the beginning of the 20th century that\nthings began to ch
 ange for women\, which transformed the traditionally\nmale-driving social 
 structure around the world. This exhibition\nhighlights work created by we
 ll\, and lesser\, known women from the\nLeague’s Fine Art Collection.
