Beach View Hotel

I am honestly very surprised, pleasantly so, with my stay at The Beach View hotel. We check out in the morning, but I will definitely return.

The front desk staff was so friendly upon our arrival and throughout our short two-night stay.

Check-in was a breeze.

They serve a nice free breakfast each morning. The breakfast biscuit sandwiches were great as was the frittata.

There is a nightly wine and cheese service in the early evening, and warm cookies in the later evening hours. Both are served in the cute lobby.

The rooms are charming, overall well maintained, and smell fresh and clean. The bed was firm but comfortable.

The best part is the proximity to everything! The boardwalk and beach is mere steps away. There are fantastic dining options as close as directly across the parking lot. There is honestly no need to even move your car unless you plan to venture further from city center.

This hotel is a gem. I was nervous booking because some "billing issues" are mentioned in other reviews. But those seem to stem from folks not reading the welcome letter that does indeed mention an additional $20.00 per person per night for any guest over two adults. This didn't apply to me, but it does show this information multiple times on the website and the booking confirmation.

There is free onsite parking. I personally didn't have an issue finding a spot, but we are here off-season before the crowd surge. Things MIGHT be more complicated then.

There is elevator access to all floors.

If you are looking for an amazing hotel run by staff who seem to love what they do; just steps from shopping, dining, bars, beach, and boardwalk, then look no further.

I had a five star stay but put three stars due to service. The location and the amenities were great. The reason I gave three stars is because I stayed here for the Coastal Delaware Marathon. At check in I asked the women helping me if I can have a 1 pm check out due to the race. She initially said yes but then another women said no as that room is booked after me. I later asked another person and they said that the manager specifically said no one can have a late check out. During the race my friend and mom asked again. They were told that they would have to pay to have a late check out (4pm). They did end up paying so that I could shower after. I was out of the room by 1pm. I am disappointed since it was obvious that the women lied about it being booked after me and just had a blanket no late checkout. I would have paid for late checkout the day before had they told me that. I would recommend the hotel as long as you are not running the marathon or need a late checkout.

Ok we booked for getaway great spot great staff. A front desk was nice enough to check us in before our time. Spa inside the property. Pool Jacuzzi and steam room clean and well managed. Just to say thank you the view we will be back.
