We rented a cabin for the weekend. The cabin was filled with cobwebs. The beds are horrible,so thin feels like I was sleeping on the hard floor. The floor was buckled in the entire cabin. The cabin needs a total refresh for the price you pay a night. Hooks were installed on the wall that were crooked the curtains are dated. The shower rooms were missing curtains so the water just covered the space to change in therefore all your clothes were wet. Our door in the cabin wouldn't latch and stay shut. Overall I don't think I would rent a cabin again unless they did a total remake in them. Get some decent mattresses and get some new furniture. Could be a great place if they fixed it up a bit.

This place is really great for children. The in ground pool is a salt water pool and it's very nice. They keep it pretty clean. There's a playground and game room. We camp out when we go. The regulars are respectful and nice. It's an all round good place.

The bathrooms have single sheet toilet paper which is to be expected at this type of place but in addition to that it’s humid as it gets since the bathroom showers are almost always running. On the subject of the showers, there’s two single person bathrooms near the pool that are consistently wet and dirty. Then there’s another set of bigger capacity bathrooms. The toilet stalls have no room, they’re also wet, and very dark. The shower walls are about 5’ and a half tall so you can see the people in the one next to you. The crew working there itself seemed pleasant. The lady at the front desk in the office was helpful and the guy next to her was as well. Full of confederate flags for some reason though. Not really sure why confederate flags and memorabilia of that sorts is a camping utility in their little shop but it was. Now onto my main reason in writing this review. We’d camped there for about 5 days and the lady on the cart that constantly monitors campsites and makes sure no funny business is going on chose till the day before our departure to mention that tents aren't allowed on camper campsites and that it’s a 50$/day charge. 4 days into the vacation she mentioned this. Not the first day. Not when we initially came through the gates and paid for our additional person and additional vehicle. They neglected to mention that at the check-in or any point in-between then and our leaving despite knowing these things are additional charges. They did however know to bring up the vehicle and additional person right off the bat since its not a daily charge and can’t accumulate. The immediate vacinity outside the campgrounds has a trail that’s between 2 very nice beaches with both being half an hour bike ride in either direction. The roads are decently bike friendly which is nice.
