We don't live all that far from the hotel, but wanted a nice getaway for Super Bowl weekend. We saw we could get a room with a 2-person jacuzzi and the off-season pricing made it more compelling. I've stayed at the Ritz-Carlton a few times and they could learn a thing or two from this place. The service was simply amazing and the location can't be beat. One of the parrots took a liking to my wife and hopped on her shoulder a few times. You almost feel like you've gone back in time when you stay here.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Plaza for the Coastal Delaware running festival in an oceanfront deluxe room. The view was absolutely stunning! Every staff member was incredibly friendly and excited to help. They even provided a special breakfast early for the runners and allowed us an extended check out time. I've been to many hotels and I've never experienced better service. The bed was very comfy and we slept so well. I felt like the sound proofing of the rooms was very high quality too! The old fashioned decor can be pretty weird in places and could use some updating, but it did not affect our experience.

This was our 2nd trip there. The first one we stayed on the 4th floor in a suite. This time we stayed on the 3rd fl.and it was totally different. Sheets were yellow on one bed, no paper towels in the bathroom or kitchen. No cups in the bathroom..,no coffee creamer only 2 and we went out and bought our own. Doubt very much if we would come back. We had reservations until Thursday but we left on Wednesday.
The staff were perfect. No of the above can be placed on them.
This is an expensive hotel and everything should be in tip top shape in regular rooms.
When we were there 5 years ago and stayed in the suite it was ALL perfect. No issues. This time around it's a different story.
We will go someplace else next time
