First time going - got the pig pen dish and it was amazing. Smoked wings were awesome, ribs were the best, and mini sliders were a perfect mix. Just what we were looking for coming from North Jersey. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who likes bbq. Atmosphere was also a good, old style restaurant super comforting.

So had the brisket sandwich, Cole slaw and beans. Wife had same sandwich, fries and Mac n cheese. My sandwich was okay, had a lot of fat and some parts had so much seasoning, that's all I tasted. Cole slaw was just okay and the beans were really good. Wife like her sandwich, Mac n cheese was just okay and fries were good. Overall, food was okay but, the service and atmosphere were better. Owner stopped by our table to talk.

I have put off writing this review for a while now, hoping the food would get better and it hasn't. The service was mid at best, but I did like the vibe of the place. I wish the food tasted as good as it smelled. The brisket sandwich I ordered was dry, and the roll was hard as a brick; almost like it was microwaved. The half chicken was the same way but seasoned better. The half rack of ribs was spicy and peppery and had a good flavor, but nowhere near as tender as they should have been. I was very disappointed all the way around. The best food I got to taste from there was for a work catering three years ago. I've been stopping in periodically, hoping to recapture the same great food. The bbq has fallen short every time since. I really wanted to like this place because it's hard to find great BBQ in this area. Oh well, the search continues...
