As i walked in, the staff was very greet. I had the three meat plates. Brisket, pulled pork and trimmed beef. The side of bak ed beans were killer. Highly recommend. French fries are fresh cut.

A must go for some great BBQ.

Keep it up!!!

I have put off writing this review for a while now, hoping the food would get better and it hasn't. The service was mid at best, but I did like the vibe of the place. I wish the food tasted as good as it smelled. The brisket sandwich I ordered was dry, and the roll was hard as a brick; almost like it was microwaved. The half chicken was the same way but seasoned better. The half rack of ribs was spicy and peppery and had a good flavor, but nowhere near as tender as they should have been. I was very disappointed all the way around. The best food I got to taste from there was for a work catering three years ago. I've been stopping in periodically, hoping to recapture the same great food. The bbq has fallen short every time since. I really wanted to like this place because it's hard to find great BBQ in this area. Oh well, the search continues...

Finally stopped in for a sandwich after passing by it for years, and I've gotta say I was pretty disappointed in a number of ways. The restaurant wasn't busy when I arrived, and I was unenthusiastically greeted by the young man behind the counter. He immediately asked me what I wanted without any welcome, and when I mentioned that it was my first time stopping in, he didn't comment or welcome me, or suggest anything on the menu or offer to answer any questions I had. While this certainly isn't a deal breaker regarding a places' quality, these are things I just kind of expect with counter service restaurants, and especially out here on the Shore, with places that are family-run small businesses. I ended up ordering the Fat Daddy Burger, and opting to get a combo with fries. After taking my order and ringing it up, he tells me it will be 15-20 minutes. That seemed like a surprisingly long wait, so I told him I was going back out to my car, just outside the door, and asked him to let me know if the food was ready before I came back in. He also didn't get me my soda at this time, and I ended up forgetting about it/not being asked if I had received it by the other employee who ended up giving me my food later. After nearly 17 minutes and no indication from anyone, I came back inside. The young man was gone, my food was sitting in a bag on the counter, and a young woman who was leaning on the counter next to it asked if it was mine, and I said yes and she handed me the bag. I took the bag and went back out to my car, frustrated that the food had been ready and sitting there, and that no one had let me know. When I got to the car, I opened it, and sure enough the burger was lukewarm and the fries were not much better. I had somewhere to be, and I didn't have time to wait for another sandwich, so I left. Again, I was right outside of the front door, and either moving the curtain to signal, or opening the door wouldn't have been hard. Regarding the quality of the actual food, it wasn't much better than the service, unfortunately. The burger patties were both awkwardly thick and dry, creating a difficult to eat sandwich that ended up falling apart and ripping the bun. I think they would really benefit from adopting a smash burger style approach to cooking, so that the burgers don't end up thick, overly dried out, and taking more than 5 minutes to cook them, even when you want well done. The fries were certainly better than the burger, but having been in a closed Styrofoam container didn't help, as they were soggy from the condensation by the time I opened them as I got into the car. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed. I would like to imagine that this was an outlier as far as guest experiences go, but it was NOT a strong first showing.
