Grain On The Rocks
I enjoyed my meal at Grain on the Rocks. I had the lobster roll, and my husband had the grain burger. Both of us were very happy with our food and our beers. Our server was friendly and attentive, which is always a plus. I loved the outdoor seating to enjoy the breezes off the water and watching the ferry and other boats go past.
The ferry terminal as well as the restaurants are wheelchair accessible. I personally think someone would be more comfortable with the outdoor seating. My only reason for not giving five stars is my slight disappointment in the lack of options on the menu. Still, it was overall a good experience for us!

Was waiting for 12:15 ferry and got there around 10am to have some breakfast and drinks with my party. Spent over $120.00 and when we were finished went to the outside with our small group of 4 and sat at 1 of the tables while all others were empty with the exception of 1 table older couple that had bought a coffee and a pastry from the snack shack inside. Our group was approached by 2 younger girls probably servers and asked if we needed anything. We replied No we just left the bar we are good.
A few minutes later we were approached by an older woman dark hair and said we needed to move because someone needed to sit there.
Now I looked at all and I mean all tables except for the one that had the older couple at that time and asked "They need to sit at this exact table?"" She then said yes you have to move. I then started pointing at several other tables saying we'll can I sit at any of those and she said no they are being used . She proceeded to tell us we had to leave although I reiterated we just left the bar only a few moments ago and just wanted to sit for a few minutes before our ferry came.
She then agin said we had to leave.
I then asked her a rhetorical question and said "I guess I'm being a DICK?" thinking I'll joke with her to make light of this ridiculous situation and she came back and surprised me with"YES YOU ARE BEING A DICK!"
Unbelievable, I should have been a real dick and asked for her supervisor.
Oh by the way when our ferry left about a half hour after this incident, nobody was out there and the outside seating was still all empty.
Was a good experience until that.

When we came up to the host station we were completely ignored for 3-5 minutes while the manager finished his conversation to the staff in front of us. No apologies. When we were seated our server was very diligent in taking our order and bringing our drinks. We ordered chicken tenders. We waited for almost 45 minutes, while the table next to us, who came after us, were served chicken tenders. We asked our server about our food order. She came back and told us there were other orders ahead of ours. (after 45 minutes!). We paid our tab and left. This restaurant is in a tremendous location but I cannot recommend it after this experience.
