Harvest Tide Steakhouse, Bethany Beach, DE

Had the best experience when I didn’t even know what I was looking for. Delicious food, fresh oysters, but the key was the bartender Chris. Made the best craft cocktails. First time there and absolutely not my last. If Chris is at the bar, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I visited Bethany Beach during the off season. We stumbled upon this restaurant one evening. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere was casual but a bit more upscale for a beach town restaurant. Our food was served hot, and it was delicious! We also appreciated the friendly service and classic music being played in the restaurant. There was also a good selection of drinks, and we enjoyed our dessert. This restaurant is perfect for couples or families looking for a nice steak dinner here at the shore.

We dined at Harvest Tide on a very busy night so it’s understandable that the service was extremely slow. Fortunately, the servers were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was sold out of my choice of Chardonnay and the only other one they had by the glass was tasteless. Sadly, none of the four of us enjoyed our meal. The steaks were tough and fatty, and the fish was unimpressive. Plus, it was served on a bed of runny risotto with cold lumps throughout. Again, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be managing the best they could. The highlight of the night was their enormous Smith Island cake for dessert. Our friends loved it. We won’t go back as there really wasn’t anything appealing except for the outstanding Servers.
