A real gem! The front desk attendant, Ed, went above and beyond, with great local recommendations. We went to every place he recommended and it made the trip perfect. Everything was sparkling clean, with a relaxing, pleasing aesthetic. The bed and linens were fantastic, lux without being fussy. We slept very well with the blackout curtains.
Parking!! I've seen other reviews bring this up, but we had Zero issues with parking. There are so many free spots just one block from the hotel. They gave us a handy map and we had no issues, day or night on a weekend.
Be sure to take advantage of their bikes and explore the beautiful area. The location is ideal, with plenty of shops, cafes, and flowers. We had an excellent stay and hope to come again.

We had a an unexpected commitment in Lewes while our house was being rented out and needed a place to stay for the night. We've recommended Hotel Rodney to friends based on the location and thought this was a good opportunity to get the full experience. We got the executive room, which was very small but totally fine if you just need a place to sleep. If you need a place to spend a little more time you'd want to look at other options. I was surprised that the bed was a double but the website does say that in the description and I missed it—be sure to confirm the bed type. The room was very clean and the bathroom nicely appointed. You do hear hallway and overhead noise but nothing I wouldn't expect in an older hotel. There are only a few parking spots in their lot but street parking doesn't seem to be a problem at all, unlike most beach towns. The staff was great and the location can't be beat.

I loved Hotel Rodney. The location in "downtown" Lewes is really great. Walkable distance to everything in town. Super friendly staff that informed me to the areas attractions and recommendations.
I'm a traveling professional and stay in big chain hotels mostly, but I enjoy a place like Lewes that reminds me of a different time and also supports small businesses like Hotel Rodney. I will be staying here again the next time I'm in the area!
