We ordered fish and chips, stuffed flounder, fried oysters, and the seafood combo with crabs, clams, and shrimp. Most meals come with two sides. All the food was excellent. Service was good. There is in door and outside seating. The place gets very busy around early dinner time until around 630. We went at 715 and there was no wait but still busy. They close at 9pm. Hope you enjoy

We’ve driven past Medings a hundred times on our way to the beach for vacation but always in a hurry and never stop. It took a weekday work trip with time to kill to get me to stop. This will now be a stop for my family and I on our way to or from vacation. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is chill and calm, and the happy hour menus, prices and quality exceeded my expetectations. They serve a brag worthy orange crush that rivals any I’ve had and the steamed shrimp and wings definately fit the bill. Great job Medings.

My husband and I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for quite a while and today we decided to stop in. Unfortunately I wish we hadn’t. I ordered the Louisiana style shrimp po boy and my husband had the crab soup and crab cakes. My sandwich was nothing special and the fries were not good. My husband’s soup and crab cakes had so many shells in it that it became a distraction to eat it. When I asked the waitress if it was normal to have so many shells she told me it was, because the crabmeat was fresh. I have eaten at several seafood establishments where there has not nearly been as many shells. Later that night I called the restaurant and asked to talk with a manager or owner and I spoke with the owners son who was rude and very stand off ish. We will not be returning. Luckily in DE we have several other choices for fresh food restaurants to spend our hard earned money at.
