Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rehoboth Beach

This was our 2nd stay and we love this Wyndham! The employees provide service excellence in all experiences, from management, to front desk staff, to housekeeping, to the dining room attendant! There is no request too big or too small!

There is a daily free breakfast area, snacks for purchase, and free coffee and tea 24/7, which is a nice touch!

The entire place is CLEAN from the reception area to the room.

I rated the room 4 stars because it lacks certain amenities that are important to us as middle age travelers. Although you have a space to hang clothes, there is not closet and it gives a cluttered look when clothes are hanging. We also like to unpack our clothes and put them in dresser drawers when we travel. There is a space below the window seat where you could put folded clothes (we LOVE the window seat), but a drawer would better serve our purpose.

The fitness room and pool are nice bonuses! We used the fitness room, but did not use the pool, however, guests were relaxing and having a nice time in the pool area.

There are large screen TVs in the reception area and places to hang out. It’s really a nice vibe! I normally hate rooms near the elevator, but I forgot to ask for one away from it, however, we did NOT hear the elevator or other guests in the hallway.

It’s located at the back of Tanger Seaside, so you can literally walk to shop, and close enough to the beach without the hustle and bustle. Did I mention the FREE parking!?!?!?

If you’re looking for a nice place to stay, with a welcoming staff, clean, free parking, and other amenities, near the beach and shopping, but tucked away from the crowds for a peaceful night’s sleep, I HIGHLY recommend this location!

So this hotel serves its purpose. I feel the spot is nice; rooms are decent size. What the real issue here is the service, the house keeping is nonexistent. They say every three days. We stayed a week and got “house keeping” once. Which was fresh towels, like a new soap and a half made bed. What would’ve been nice was sweeping sand, or changing the sheets in general. The body wash ran out as well wasn’t much when we went in, but it would’ve been good for them to check all of that as well.

We came here during the beach season for 2 nights. Despite having paid the hiked up price, we did not get good housekeeping service. We left the hotel for the beach around 940 am and came back around 220 pm, fully expecting that we will have fresh towel and the floor will be swiped and the sands would be cleaned out of the shower. However we came back to a room with basically no change only the dirty towel on the floor has been collected. We even put down some dirty bed sheets to be replaced and nothing was done. Even the trash was not taken out. This was very unexpected and when we complained the answer was we are short staffed. Not sure how they can charge full price if they don't give the full service that is required to run a hotel.

I do have to say the front desk and the breakfast service are great.
