Beautiful campground that I will definitely keep coming back to! My husband and I brought our own kayaks and had a spot very close to the kayak launch. The campground is clean and well taken care of. The sites are pretty big comparing to other campgrounds I’ve been to. We were able to fit a fifth wheel, camp kitchen and another vehicle on one site. Our site overlooked the waterway and we could see fish jumping out of the water and all sorts of cool birds! There are 2 specific things I would like to point out that were a bit annoying (take it as constructive criticism and room for improvement?) ONE, while the campground is visible from the road, the main entrance is NOT, especially once it gets dark. We literally missed it when we got there. TWO, not a soul answers the phone at the office, ever. I called a few times prior to arrival because I had some specific questions and never got to talk to a human. Other than that, the entire campground did not have water pressure our first night there…..granted, it poured that night and there was a tornado warning, so I am sure there was a specific reason why, but there doesn’t seem to be any means of communication between the main office and the campers. The campground, in comparison, is pretty expensive, but they do offer first responder discount, so there is that. Besides this, I am still giving it 5 stars and will definitely be back again!

Our trip was very disappointing. We were VERY excited to take our family for a quick trip. We received mixed emails saying check-in for cottages was 3pm and 4pm. So when we arrived at 3pm and were told we could not check in until 4pm, it was not a great start but nonetheless we were still excited. Until we got to our cottage...these are SMALL they don't advertise the square feet but they are tight for a family. The floors and kitchenware were dirty. Our bedding that was balled up in a bag were dirty causing us to pack all the kids back in the car to drive back to the welcome area and get new ones. The beds are cheap. There was no way for my daughter to safely access the top bunk so that was practically unusable. One of the biggest reasons we picked this resort was for the pools. Specifically the heated pool close to the welcome area. On our only full day at the resort the pool opened late and the pool heater was broken which was a big deal as the family pool was ICE cold (stayed late August). We called the front desk later that day to see if the pool heater was fixed and no one at the front desk could answer our question and we didn't want to get the kids ready and packed for the pool to find out it wasn't working. The kids enjoyed the park that was available, but as parents we had a hard time looking past the trash that littered the sandy area. For the price, this resort should be better.
