5-Star Review for Sunrise Restaurant
While visiting Dewey Beach from the Poconos for Funfest, my Bride and I set out Monday morning in search of a great breakfast spot. We found Sunrise Restaurant, a charming corner spot at 2300 Highway One, and knew right away we made the right choice.
From the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean and welcoming the place was. Even the restrooms were spotless—a detail that impressed us right away. I ordered the Easton omelette loaded with green peppers, mushrooms, and American cheese, with a side of French fries and rye toast. My Bride went for the spinach omelette with feta and mushrooms, paired with home fries, rye toast, and, of course, coffee. The omelettes were packed with fresh veggies and cooked to perfection—a true delight for breakfast lovers!
To top it off, we were lucky enough to meet the owner, Rob Holson, who took the time to chat with us. Rob is as genuine as they come, and it was a pleasure letting him know we’d chosen his restaurant to celebrate both our 46th wedding anniversary and my Bride’s birthday.
If you’re in Dewey Beach and looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch, don’t miss Sunrise Restaurant. It’s well worth going out of your way for a fantastic meal and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!

After a walk on the beach, this is a lovely, quaint, no-frills little restaurant. We had perfectly cooked eggs, French toast, breakfast sandwich and fresh fruit. You’ll find a good cup of coffee, yummy food and excellent service. It felt clean, comfortable and right at home. We look forward to returning!

Just drove by on the way to church and we are happy that Sunrise is open again. Seven till two every day except Tuesday through the end of winter. One of the best and most affordable breakfast places around. The owner is there every day and his pride shows in his excellent crew.
