The Veranda Restaurant & Bar

The on-site restaurant had some hits and misses.
Positives:
Crab cake sandwich, Greek salad, and chicken parmesan were delicious.
Convenient to have food and drinks on-site.
Staff like Rich were friendly and funny.
Challenges:
Mozzarella sticks were thick, with an off sauce-to-cheese ratio.
Mussels were okay, and the “smashburger” didn’t taste like real meat and wasn’t cooked as requested.
Happy hour food discounts were minimal (e.g., mozzarella sticks only saved ~$0.16 per piece).
Some servers were abrupt, asking for IDs immediately without introduction.
Drink tickets given upon arrival only applied to a limited selection of beverages.
Overall: Tasty food for certain items, but service and pricing could be improved, and some dishes fell short of expectations.

don’t get takeout from here. waited 15 mins curbside then had to get it myself, not a big deal. but well done burgers are burnt to black on all 3, and still pink on the inside. this is due to either too high cooking temperatures, or a very dirty grill. literally inedible the burger is flaking off ash. no one will pick up the phone, wish they would so i could get a refund on a $70 uneaten meal.

Food was great, aesthetically pleasing decor. Dessert menu changes often so it was fresh. Drinks were good too also fairly priced. You should definitely give it a try if you live in the area or staying in the hotel for vacation!!
